Mercer's Poxyback Baetis, 18 Reviews
One of the most prolific species of mayfly in the country, Baetis nymphs tend to come off in great numbers on cloudy, darker days. They are small and not of much value to the fish unless they can be had in good numbers. Fish these Baetis nymphs in a place where the stream concentrates flow and then slows, such as the head of a pool. This is where the nymphs will be trying to reach the surface. Use a BWO dry with this fly pattern for increased effectiveness. Color, Baetis. Size: 18, 20.
